About Twistin Tots
Twistin Tots is a fun, energetic music and movement class for little ones aged 0–5 and their grown-ups. Every session is a themed adventure, packed with singing, dancing, puppets and parachutes. This creates opportunities for children to learn through play and imagination while you make happy memories together.
Our Story
Twistin Tots began over 20 years ago, when Jacqui Davies started the classes in Belper and created a much-loved community for local families.
Today, that story continues with new owner Catrin Godfrey. As a mum of two young children, Cat knows just how valuable it is to have somewhere families can get out of the house, have fun together and connect with other parents.
In fact, Cat first discovered Twistin Tots when she brought her eldest daughter along to class. It became a place to sing, dance, play and make happy memories together during those busy early years of parenting.
Taking over Twistin Tots feels like a true full-circle moment. Cat is proud to carry on everything families have loved for the past two decades, while bringing fresh ideas, plenty of energy and a continued commitment to making every family feel welcome.
Our Community
We're proud to be a small, independent Derbyshire business with community at its heart. Everyone is welcome at Twistin Tots, and we love celebrating every child while bringing local families together through fun, friendship and play.
“We attended one of Cat’s Twistin Tots summer sessions with my two kids (aged 7 and 4), and they both had an absolute blast!”
“They loved all the singing and dancing, especially joining in with Dingle Dangle Scarecrow and Sleeping Bunnies. The parachute games were a huge hit, too. What makes Cat’s classes so special is how delightfully chilled and low-demand they are. This was perfect for my eldest, who is autistic. There is zero pressure to join in, which allowed her to participate at her own pace. The free play at the end was fantastic - it gave her a safe, relaxed environment to just play and be herself.
I can’t recommend Cat’s classes enough for families looking for a welcoming, inclusive, and fun activity!”
