Events at Twistin’ Tots

We have lots of different events going on at Twistin’ Tots throughout the year.

Twistin’ Tots Xmas Parties Every year we have our annual Xmas events, where we have a special Xmas set of Christmas songs, including Jingle Bells and When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney, plus a visit from Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa. This year's events will be bigger and better, as in addition to the usual Twistin' Tots songtime session, there will be a present for each child, party games, fancy dress, prizes to be won and lots of cakes and mince pies to round things off!

Fundraising for Charities

Comic Relief
Every year we have raised money for Comic Relief. Initially we asked all parents to donate any spare change and Twistin’ Tots matched whatever was collected as a Comic relief donation – enabling us to send between £30 - £40 to the charity. We have now changed our approach however and now ask all our mums and children to come in fancy dress for and agreed to donate half the class fee to comic relief for those who did so. This year, we managed to raise over £120 in this way, over six classes.

Children in Need
We raised almost £85 for Children in Need in October 2010 by again, asking parents and children to come in fancy dress and donating part of the class fee to the charity.

Easter
This year we had an Easter Bonnet competition with a prize for the best Easter bonnet / hat. Everyone got intot he spirit of the occasion and there were some fantastic creations at all classes. Thanks to all who took part! The winner at each class each won a months' pass for Twistin' Tots classes.

Birthdays
Each week we ask if there are any children with birthdays. Those having a birthday get to wear the Twistin’ Tots birthday hat and we all sing Happy Birthday to them. They all also receive a small gift to make their birthday extra special.

Twistin' Tots Birthday celebrations
Twistin’ Tots was five years old in June 2011. We held a birthday celebration in honour of this at our Belper classes and prizes were awarded to children for the best fancy dress costumes. Cake and jelly was enjoyed by all!!

New Corporate Identity

In 2009 Twistin’ Tots this year launched it’s new identity, created by Linda Wild of Wild Ideas, Sawmills in conjunction with Jacqui Davis. You will now see the Twistin’ Tots logo wherever there are TT events happening, so keep your eyes open for it!
