BackgroundTwistin’ Tots began as a Tuesday session in June 2006, when Jacqui Davis, a former Marketing Manager, was six months pregnant with her second child.
She said, “I couldn’t find any other music classes locally and as my (then) 16-month old daughter loved music and dancing, I thought I’d get something started. As anyone with pre-school children will have discovered, most structured activities for children of this age stop over the Summer holidays, which leaves parents with pre-school age children at a bit of a loss as to what to do – especially if it’s raining – so I decided to start my classes during the holidays.”
The Tuesday class was a great success and a Friday class followed a year later in October 2007, with a second Friday class – to meet demand – starting soon after in November 2007.
Successful classes have now also been running in Matlock and Ripley for two years and Little Eaton for almost a year.
